Kazandra Pangilinan, ARCT


Kazandra studied piano with Amanda Chan, M.Mus, B.Mus. F.T.C.L. A.R.C.T., for 9 years. She has received numerous placements in the festivals she has entered and has achieved high rankings in RCM examinations, including First Class Honours with Distinction.


Kazandra is an active member of her high school jazz band, wind ensemble and choir. In these groups, she plays the clarinet and alto saxophone.  Her favorite style of music is jazz and she enjoys performing in jazz ensembles.  Through her involvement in the jazz ensemble, she has helped raise money for BC Children’s Hospital.  .


Kazandra performed alongside her sisters in benefit concerts titled '2 Pianos 4 Sisters 8 Hands.’ With support from the public, the concerts were able to raise a total of $3000 for the Red Cross and BC Children’s Hospital.  In Spring 2010, she co-produced and directed the musical, Pride and Prejudice, which raised $1,800 for BC Children's Hospital and in 2011 'The Musical Importance of Being Earnest'.


In 2006, Kazandra began teaching piano and sharing her love and knowledge of music.  She currently has fourteen students, many of whom have received high rankings in festivals, as well as First Class Honours with Distinction. 


Kazandra is currently attending the UBC Sauder School of Business .
